Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely revamping its map. The four-lane design is gone, replaced by a three-lane structure more in line with traditional MOBAs. This shift dramatically alters gameplay. Previously, a common strategy was a "1 vs 2" lane distribution; now, expect two heroes per lane, demanding strategic readjustments in resource management and team composition.

The map redesign extends to neutral camps, buffs, and other key locations. To ease the transition, a new "map exploration" mode lets players freely explore the revised layout without enemy or allied interference.
The Soul Orb system has also been tweaked. Players can now collect souls even without delivering the final blow, accelerating resource gathering. Soul effects have been refined, reducing hover times.
Further improvements include refined sprint mechanics, character balance adjustments, and enhanced performance. The patch adds support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 technologies, addressing numerous bugs. For a comprehensive list of changes, consult the official patch notes.
