Valve continues to impress with their ongoing commitment to enhancing Deadlock through regular updates. The latest patch, while modest in scope, brings significant changes to four heroes, reflecting the developers' responsiveness to community feedback and gameplay balance.
Calico enthusiasts will notice a substantial nerf: her Return to Shadows ability now faces a ten-second cooldown increase and a 20% speed shift to T2. Additionally, the damage output from T2 Leaping Slash has been dialed back, potentially affecting her combat strategy.
Sinclair, on the other hand, received a more visual and functional overhaul. New sounds and animations have been added, and his Rabbit Hex ability has been transformed into an Area of Effect (AoE) skill, promising to add a new layer of strategy to his gameplay. Both Holliday and Wraith have also been nerfed, though specifics on these adjustments remain under wraps.
The update didn't stop at heroes; items saw their fair share of tweaks as well. Ammo Scavenger now offers fewer stacks and no longer provides a health bonus, which may impact players' survival tactics. Meanwhile, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot have lost their Fire Rate and Weapon Damage bonuses, respectively, nudging players towards alternative strategies.
