Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently confirmed that multiple remakes of classic *Assassin's Creed* games are currently in development. Speaking on the official Ubisoft website, Guillemot expressed excitement over revisiting beloved titles from the past and bringing them into the modern era. While he didn’t specify which games would receive the remake treatment, he emphasized the richness of certain worlds within older entries that remain highly appealing.
Guillemot hinted at a regular release schedule for upcoming *Assassin's Creed* titles, ensuring variety rather than repetition. Fans can look forward to fresh experiences, as well as anticipated releases such as *Assassin's Creed Hexe*, set in 16th-century Europe, scheduled for 2026, and *Assassin's Creed Shadows*, set in feudal Japan, launching on November 15, 2024. Additionally, the mobile game *Assassin's Creed Jade* is expected in 2025.
Ubisoft has previously remastered notable titles, including *The Ezio Collection* in 2016 and *Rogue Remastered* in 2018. Rumors circulated last year about a possible remake of *Black Flag*, though Ubisoft remains tight-lipped on confirmation.
Looking ahead, Guillemot praised technological advancements, particularly in *Shadows*, where dynamic weather systems impact gameplay and visual improvements enhance immersion. He also highlighted the potential of generative AI to create more intelligent and interactive NPCs, adding depth to both human characters and the environment itself.
