Yamada Heiando, a celebrated Japanese lacquerware maker, teamed up with The Pokémon Company to craft bowls representing Chinese Zodiac animals using time-honored techniques. The selected Pokémon are Pikachu (rat), Ekans (snake), and Dragonite (dragon).
The brand describes these Pokémon as "gentle guardians accompanying you and your children during family meals." Yamada Heiando focuses on creating products for babies and children, expressing, "We hope this bowl becomes a cherished item that lets you celebrate your child's joyful growth every day."
Each bowl comes with a meaning tied to childhood development: Pikachu embodies kindness, Ekans represents growth, and Dragonite stands for openness.
These meticulously crafted bowls sold out rapidly after their January 17, 2025 release. Another sales round begins on January 31 for interested buyers. Note that purchases are limited to two items per customer.
A set is priced at 16,500 JPY (approximately $105 USD). International shipping is available, with final costs depending on package dimensions, seasonal surcharges, and current fuel prices.

The inaugural "Evolving Personalities Figure" collection includes Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon, with remaining Eeveelutions scheduled for release in triple sets throughout the year.
