Xbox Game Pass: January 2025 Wave 2 Games Revealed

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup, brimming with exciting new titles. This announcement, preceding Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, offers a sneak peek at several day-one Game Pass additions, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth game.

The January 2025 Wave 2 kicks off today, January 21st, with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Master the mountain in this snowy sequel to Lonely Mountains: Downhill, now featuring up to eight-player cross-platform multiplayer. Conquer the slopes cooperatively or race to the bottom in exhilarating competition.

Tomorrow, January 22nd, brings Flock (Console) to Game Pass Standard, a multiplayer co-op experience where you collect adorable flying creatures with friends. Soar through stunning landscapes in search of rare and elusive additions to your flock. Also launching on January 22nd is Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This definitive edition of the 5v5 MOBA hero shooter delivers dynamic team-based multiplayer action. Choose from a diverse roster of heroes, upgrade their abilities, and battle for control of objectives.

January 22nd continues with the arrival of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console) on Game Pass Standard, a unique Japanese-inspired single-player Kagura action-strategy game. Purify villages by day and protect the Maiden from hordes at night, repeating the cycle until peace is restored. Magical Delicacy (Console), Tchia (Xbox Series X|S), and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console) also join Game Pass Standard on January 22nd. Starbound (Cloud and Console) rounds out the day, coming to Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard, following its PC Game Pass launch.

Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) makes its day-one debut on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 28th. This fantasy title from Yellow Brick Games, featuring industry veterans from acclaimed franchises, blends magical abilities with powerful weapons in a third-person action-adventure experience. Also launching on January 28th as a day-one title is Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This action-packed third-person shooter and trap defense game lets you obliterate orc hordes with up to four players.

Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on January 29th across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Embark on a surreal and emotional journey as a little girl and her shadow, overcoming challenges through breathtaking artistic direction and a captivating narrative.

A major addition on January 30th is Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC), a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Experience the award-winning sniping mechanics and tactical third-person combat in occupied France, either solo or with a friend in co-op mode.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launches as a day-one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 31st. This highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed 2022 RPG is a dice-driven adventure where you play as an escaped android navigating the Starward Belt.

Finally, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on February 4th. Explore a vibrant, post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana, and lead the fight against the Highwaymen.
