Warriors: Abyss is a Roguelite Take on the Warriors Franchise, Out Today

Author : Dylan Mar 18,2025

Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo is launching another exciting title, Warriors: Abyss, today. This new roguelite puts a fresh spin on the beloved musou genre, featuring familiar faces from the Warriors series.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss offers an isometric perspective reminiscent of Diablo and Hades, allowing you to assemble a squad of iconic characters and battle through hordes of enemies. The gameplay footage highlighted characters such as Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang, battling demonic forces in a hellish landscape.

According to the PlayStation Blog, you can recruit and add characters to your team, expanding your summoning options. Battles support up to seven active heroes, with a launch roster of 100 warriors. Koei Tecmo plans to expand the roster further, starting with characters from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. They even hinted at future additions that might include characters from outside the Warriors series!

Warriors: Abyss is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is slated for February 13, 2025. Don't miss the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set, available until March 14, 2025.
