Valve Unveils Final Team Fortress 2 Comic for Smissmas

Author : Liam May 29,2025

Occasionally, the stars align, and dreams come true for those who have patiently awaited their moment. In a delightful twist, Valve has finally graced fans with a brand-new comic for the iconic team-based shooter, Team Fortress 2. The announcement of this unexpected content drop surfaced on the game’s official website, leaving players thrilled and nostalgic.

Titled The Days Have Worn Away, this marks the seventh numbered issue and the 29th release overall, including special event and thematic stories. It’s been a staggering seven years since the last comic dropped in 2017. The Valve team playfully referenced this long gap, jokingly likening the creation process to building the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Their tongue-in-cheek humor suggested that even though everyone involved in constructing the Italian structure didn’t live to see its completion, Team Fortress 2 players only had to wait a relatively short "seven years."

The newly released comic is nothing short of impressive, offering a rich narrative that ties up loose ends beautifully. Fans are speculating that this might indeed be the final installment, as hinted by Erik Wolpaw’s cryptic tweet on X regarding "the very last meeting for the Team Fortress 2 comic." While there may not be more issues down the line, players can at least breathe a sigh of relief knowing the story has reached a satisfying conclusion—and perhaps even enjoyed a touch of holiday cheer along the way.
