Unlock the Code: Warped Wire Acquisition Guide for "NieR: Automata"

NieR: Automata's vast array of enemies drop various materials crucial for pod and weapon upgrades. While many materials are acquired naturally, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints an efficient Warped Wire farming location.

Warped Wire Farming Location in NieR: Automata

Warped Wire is a rare drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies are uncommon, but concentrated in one area: Fast travel to the Desert Camp access point. Proceed along the path towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain following a pipe through ruins. This section features multiple stacked machines, ideal for farming.

Two small clearings near ruined structures are the prime spots. All machines near these buildings are the stacked variety. Warped Wire has a reasonable drop rate; expect one or two per clearing. Consider using a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip to accelerate the process.

Respawning Enemies for Efficient Farming:

To expedite farming, utilize these enemy respawning methods:

  • Fast Travel: Fast travel away from Desert Camp and return to respawn all enemies. This is significantly faster than the alternative.
  • Run Away and Return: Running a considerable distance and returning will also respawn enemies, but it's less efficient due to the travel time.

Investing in drop rate increase chips is highly recommended. Many upgrade materials are machine drops, and similar farming strategies are often necessary for comprehensive weapon upgrades. Movement Speed chips also improve travel efficiency, beneficial for both farming and completing timed quests.
