The chapter begins at Safe Haven, a seemingly secure location that proves deceptive. Despite defeating Yarnaby and the Doctor, the heroes face new threats. The Prototype learns of Poppy's explosive plan and intervenes, triggering a catastrophe that unleashes Doey's aggression. After defeating Doey, the player discovers Poppy and Kissy Missy in hiding.

A major plot twist reveals Ollie, the seemingly trustworthy ally, is actually The Prototype, a shapeshifting villain capable of voice mimicry. He manipulates Poppy, posing as Ollie, and reveals a past interaction. A VHS tape discovered during the Doey chase shows a heartbroken Poppy, deceived by The Prototype's promise of escape from the factory.

The Prototype reveals the grim reality: their transformation into monsters makes escape impossible. Despite her hatred for the factory, Poppy agrees to destroy it to prevent further transformations. However, The Prototype anticipates her plan, thwarts it, and threatens to imprison Poppy. The reason for this threat remains unclear, but it forces Poppy's escape.

The Laboratory: A Glimpse into the Finale

Following Poppy's escape, The Prototype attacks the player's hiding place. A wounded Kissy Missy's attack fails, and the player finds themselves in the laboratory – a poppy flower garden used for experiments. This location, according to Poppy, is where The Prototype hides and imprisons orphaned children.

This area is likely the final setting in the Poppy Playtime series. The player must overcome security, confront a seemingly resurrected and bandaged Huggy Wuggy from Chapter 1, and ultimately defeat the final boss to rescue the children and destroy the factory.

The ending of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 brings the narrative closer to its climax, setting the stage for the final confrontation with The Prototype. The game leaves players anticipating the ultimate showdown and escape from the factory.
