Efficient Skill Point Farming in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins rewards players with Skill Points for battlefield prowess, unlocking new skills across various skill trees. These skills enhance combat effectiveness and grant access to powerful Battle Arts. However, skill acquisition can become costly, especially early in the game. This guide outlines efficient Skill Point farming strategies beyond standard battles.

Rapid Skill Point Farming: The Skirmish Method

Defeating 100 enemies awards three Skill Points. While main battles offer opportunities, their loss conditions hinder efficient grinding. Focus on officers to secure victory, but for Skill Point farming, skirmishes are superior.

Locate skirmishes on the overworld map. Ignore enemy officers and concentrate solely on eliminating waves of endlessly spawning minor enemies. This method bypasses loss conditions, allowing continuous Skill Point accumulation (three points per 100 kills). Depending on the skirmish's enemy density, you can achieve 100 kills roughly every minute.

Continue until your health is critically low, then focus on defeating the remaining officer to win the skirmish. This yields additional Skill Points for victory, making this a highly effective method for acquiring 50+ Skill Points in a few minutes.

Tips for Optimizing Skirmish Farming:

  • Weapon Choice: Spears excel at clearing large numbers of weaker enemies.
  • Wellspring Gem: This gem restores health upon reaching 100 kills, crucial for extended farming sessions.
  • Oblivion Gem (Alternative): A strong alternative for rapidly eliminating enemies.

Alternative Skill Point Acquisition Methods

Beyond skirmishes, completing Training objectives provides Skill Points. As you progress, characters will offer Training objectives often achievable through natural gameplay. These objectives can be completed in any battle, providing additional Skill Points. Remember to engage with these characters whenever possible.
