UPDATE (1/19/25) - TikTok has resumed operations in the U.S. after a brief outage.

In a statement on X/Twitter, TikTok confirmed service restoration, attributing it to resolved concerns with service providers. The company expressed gratitude to President Trump for providing assurances against penalties, enabling continued service to over 170 million American users and supporting over 7 million small businesses. TikTok emphasized this as a victory for free speech and against arbitrary censorship, and committed to collaborating with President Trump on a permanent solution to maintain its U.S. presence.
