Unveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2024's Xbox showcase, Threads of Time is currently under development for Xbox Series X/S and Steam. While a release date remains unconfirmed, PS5 and Nintendo Switch versions haven't been ruled out.

Already generating buzz, Threads of Time is poised to rival Sea of Stars as a spiritual successor to Square Enix's Chrono series. This retro-style RPG from indie studio Riyo Games promises a captivating adventure.

"At Riyo Games, we aim to create retro-inspired RPGs that evoke cherished childhood memories," the studio stated. "Our journey began with a childhood promise—two friends playing RPGs, dreaming of one day crafting their own fantastical worlds."

Players will journey through centuries, from the age of dinosaurs to a futuristic world of robots, uncovering a time-altering conspiracy. The game's captivating narrative is further enhanced by high-quality anime cutscenes.
