Nightdive Studios proudly announces the official rebranding of their project as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, breathing new life into this beloved cult classic. This revitalized edition is launching on PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

The highly anticipated release date will be revealed on March 20, 2025, during the Future Games Show: Spring Showcase. Get ready for a new generation to experience this legendary sci-fi RPG!

Originally released in 1999, System Shock 2 redefined its genre, masterfully blending survival horror with deep RPG mechanics. This remaster promises to faithfully preserve the game's chilling atmosphere while significantly enhancing the experience with modern visuals and technical improvements.

Nightdive Studios, renowned for their work on the System Shock franchise, including the 2013 remaster of System Shock 2 and the recent remake of the original game, initially planned to release this project alongside the System Shock remake. However, unforeseen development challenges led to a revised release schedule.

Their 2023 System Shock remake was incredibly well-received, achieving a 78/100 Metacritic score, a 7.6/10 user rating, and an impressive 91% positive rating on Steam. With the System Shock 2 remaster on the horizon, the wait is almost over.
