The trailer for South Park Season 27, Episode 4 has arrived. While the long-running animated comedy continues its satirical take on Donald Trump, it also sets its sights on a new target: Labubu.
For those unfamiliar, Labubu is a line of collectible plush toys created by Hong Kong-based illustrator Kasing Lung, commonly sold in blind boxes. These quirky characters have exploded in global popularity, a trend especially evident—and often painful for parents' wallets—over the summer, fueled by viral attention on platforms like TikTok.
The trailer, featured below, depicts the Labubu craze spiraling out of control at South Park Elementary. In the real world, counterfeit Labubu toys are also a known issue. The preview also finds room for Donald Trump, who is shown disembarking from Air Force One alongside his long-time South Park counterpart, Satan.

Here is the official synopsis:
Butters experiences the reality of tariffs when he has to buy a Labubu doll for his girlfriend’s birthday in an all-new episode on Wednesday, September 3 at 10/9c on Comedy Central and next day on Paramount+.
This season of South Park has already skipped a week, with reports suggesting the show's bi-weekly release pattern will continue throughout the remainder of Season 27.
The current season, airing on Comedy Central and Paramount+, has attracted some of the series' highest ratings and significant international attention for its unflinching portrayal of President Trump. However, the production timeline for episodes has lengthened, with only three episodes released in the six weeks following the season premiere.
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone produce South Park on a week-to-week basis, a process that creates a chaotic schedule but allows for highly topical storytelling. The extended production time reportedly gives the duo more room to refine each episode, an approach Paramount is said to support.
It is worth noting that during their San Diego Comic-Con 2025 panel, held the day after the season premiere that heavily targeted Trump aired, Parker mentioned they were still uncertain about the next episode's plot, calling the decision-making process "super stressful."
Additionally, the creators recently confessed that the Season 27 trailer released in April contained footage created exclusively for the preview and not taken from actual episodes. "You seriously think we went and made a bunch of shows ahead of time and we’re banking them for later?" they stated. "We just made something up and we’re like, this is what we’re doing! And we’re not doing any of that."
All eyes remain on South Park after its Season 27 premiere was so critical of Trump that it prompted an official response from the White House.
The F.C.C. recently approved Skydance's $8 billion merger with Paramount, a deal that required approval from the Trump administration. Meanwhile, Parker and Stone have their own massive agreement: a reported $1.5 billion contract to produce 50 episodes of South Park for Paramount over a five-year period.
South Park Season 27, Episode 4 airs on Wednesday, September 3, at 10/9c on Comedy Central and will be available on Paramount+ the following day.
