Console Playtesting is Underway – Register for Beta Access and Exclusive Rewards!
Following its June 2020 announcement and various teasers, skate. is finally open for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta launch date remains unconfirmed, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been ongoing since at least December 2023, possibly even September. However, developer Full Circle continues to encourage registration, as development is actively progressing.
To participate in the beta, visit EA's website and navigate to the skate. page to register for the Skate Insider Playtesting program. Early access testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.
skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, launching on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, the game is designed as a free-to-play, live-service title promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
