RedMagic launches 9S Pro gaming smartphone in China, international version on the way soon

Author : Nicholas Jan 01,2025

Redmagic's new 9S Pro phone has just launched in China, with an international release slated for July 16th. This powerhouse device packs impressive features, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, UFS 4.0, and LPDDR5X RAM, available in configurations up to 24GB RAM + 1TB storage.

We've previously reviewed other Redmagic products, and a full review of the 9S Pro is coming soon.

Powerful Hardware, Game Library Question Mark

One potential concern is the game library. While the 9S Pro boasts incredible specs, it remains to be seen which upcoming titles will fully utilize its capabilities. Apple's devices already run recent high-profile games like Resident Evil 7 and Assassin's Creed Mirage. The Redmagic 9S Pro will likely focus on existing mobile games, including titles from MiHoYo and high-fidelity games like Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. At a potential price point of around £500, this might not justify the cost for all gamers.
