Pre-Orders Live for Delta Force on Android and iOS

Author : Matthew Jan 17,2025

Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now accepting pre-registrations for its mobile release on iOS and Android. Launching in late January 2025, this Tencent-developed title marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market. The game blends various missions and modes, emphasizing tactical gameplay.

For those unfamiliar, Delta Force is a long-standing franchise in the FPS genre, predating even Call of Duty. Inspired by the US military's Delta Force, the game series has always focused on realistic weaponry and gadgetry.

Tencent's Level Infinite has revitalized the Delta Force franchise with game modes such as Warfare (large-scale combat reminiscent of Battlefield) and Operations (extraction-based gameplay). A single-player campaign, heavily inspired by the movie Black Hawk Down and the Battle of Mogadishu, is also planned for 2025.

Combating Cheaters

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced controversy regarding its approach to cheating. Tencent's anti-cheat measures, implemented via G.T.I. Security, have been criticized for being overly aggressive. While these measures may be less impactful on mobile platforms, the initial negative reception could still affect the game's overall success.

The reduced likelihood of widespread cheating on mobile offers a potential path to meeting player expectations. For a broader selection of mobile shooters, explore our list of the top 15 best iOS shooters!
