Pokémon Go Dynamax Confirmed for Max Out Season

Pokémon GO is introducing Dynamax Pokémon as a major feature of its upcoming Max Out season! This exciting addition will be accompanied by a host of in-game events and rewards. Prepare to GO big!

Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th

The Max Out season kicks off on September 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until September 15th at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Pokémon Go Dynamax Confirmed for Max Out Season

Dynamax Pokémon Debut:

The season's launch will see the introduction of Dynamax battles featuring these 1-star Pokémon:

  • Bulbasaur
  • Charmander
  • Squirtle
  • Skwovet
  • Wooloo

Trainers can battle and catch these Dynamax Pokémon, including their shiny variations. Caught Dynamax Pokémon, and their evolutions, can also be Dynamaxed.

More Exciting Features:

  • Special Field Research: Event-exclusive Field Research tasks will be available.
  • PokéStop Showcases: Participate in themed showcases to win rewards.
  • Seasonal Special Research: A new story focusing on Max Battles will unlock rewards like Max Particles and a new avatar item. Available from September 3rd at 10:00 a.m. local time to December 3rd, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time.
  • Max Particle Pack Bundle: A bundle containing 4,800 Max Particles will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th at 6:00 p.m. PDT.

Future Updates:

Rumors suggest the arrival of Power Spots next month, serving as key locations for Dynamax battles and Max Particle collection. While Niantic hasn't confirmed this, it's certainly an exciting prospect.

According to Eurogamer, Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted that some Dynamax-capable Pokémon will also be able to Mega Evolve. However, details on Gigantamax Pokémon remain scarce, despite a tease at this year's Pokémon Worlds. Niantic promises further details on Dynamax battles soon.
