Just Like A Phoenix! Supercell Announces Project R.I.S.E. From The Ashes Of Clash Heroes

Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they're reviving the concept in a completely new form: Project R.I.S.E.

The Scoop:

Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. However, its spirit lives on in Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe. This isn't a simple re-release; it's a ground-up rebuild.

Supercell's announcement video features game lead Julien Le Cadre, who frankly states the cancellation of Clash Heroes, but emphasizes Project R.I.S.E.'s multiplayer action RPG focus as a positive development.

For a detailed overview, watch the announcement video:

Project R.I.S.E. retains elements of Clash Heroes but offers a significantly different experience. Three players will team up to ascend The Tower, with each session exploring a new floor. The emphasis is on cooperative gameplay and diverse character selection, unlike the primarily PvE dungeon focus of its predecessor.

Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration for a chance to participate is open on the official website.
