Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the event also unveiled Ninja Gaiden 4, the highly anticipated next installment in Koei Tecmo's acclaimed series. Scheduled for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the action-packed slasher gameplay fans love.
The debut trailer highlighted the return of Ryu Hayabusa, facing off against hordes of enemies in a stunning cyberpunk setting. A key innovation is the introduction of new traversal mechanics, including the use of wires and rails for rapid movement, as seen in the gameplay footage.
The game's dystopian environment is characterized by a perpetually falling toxic rain, and Ryu will battle both technologically enhanced soldiers and terrifying creatures from another realm in his quest to lift an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.
Further enhancing the Ninja Gaiden experience, a significant remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, also included in the Game Pass library. This UE5 remaster boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, incorporating elements from later games in the franchise and adding three new playable characters.
Koei Tecmo's extensive efforts on both the remaster and the upcoming sequel deserve significant praise from the gaming community.
