The Witcher's Newest Animated Spinoff: Sirens of the Deep
A Seaside Village on the Continent

Netflix Tudum, the official Netflix news site, announced The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, debuting February 11, 2025. Based on Andrzej Sapkowski's short story, "A Little Sacrifice," from Sword of Destiny, this film plunges into a seaside village grappling with a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. This leads a kingdom to enlist the help of a Witcher—and it's not your typical basilisk or cockatrice hunt! Geralt faces a unique challenge against the creatures of the deep.
Dogue Cockle returns as the voice of Geralt. Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra reprise their roles as Jaskier and Yennefer, respectively. Christina Wren (Will Trent) joins the cast as the new character, Essi Daven.
Andrzej Sapkowski acts as a creative consultant, with Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin (writers for the live-action series) penning the screenplay. Kang Hei Chul, storyboard artist for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, directs.
A Story Between Seasons

The film's timeline fits neatly between episodes 5 and 6 of The Witcher season 1. Following Geralt and Yennefer's encounter in Rinde after freeing a Djinn in "Bottled Appetites," Geralt is hired to resolve a monstrous problem near the coast.
Given Rinde's proximity to Redania and Temeria, the film's setting likely falls within these nations. Based on "A Little Sacrifice," Bremervoord City in Temeria, ruled by Duke Agloval, is a strong possibility. However, only time will tell how closely the film adheres to the short story's details.
