The Golden Idol Returns: Netflix's New Mystery Game

The iconic Golden Idol from the 18th century is back, but this time, it's the 1970s! Netflix has released The Rise of the Golden Idol, a sequel to The Case of the Golden Idol, and it's set three centuries after the original, in a decade of disco, bell-bottoms, and nascent fax machine technology.

What's the Story?

Three hundred years after the Cloudsley family saga, the legend of the Golden Idol persists as whispers and myths. A diverse group, including relic hunters, cultists, and scientists, are drawn to its potential reappearance. Players, in the role of an investigator, must unravel a series of bizarre events linked to this long-lost artifact.

The Rise of the Golden Idol features 20 cases spanning the disturbing to the supernatural. Examine evidence, identify culprits, and uncover their motives. Expect a cast of memorable suspects, from suspicious prisoners and eccentric television personalities to secretive corporate figures.
