Magic: The Gathering's next set, Aetherdrift, plunges players into a thrilling multiversal death race. We have an exclusive sneak peek at two new cards: Cloudspire Coordinator and Count on Luck.

Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon card, showcases the red-white color pairing in Aetherdrift. Representing the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem (introduced in Battlebond), this creature focuses on vehicle piloting. Its 3 power allows it to crew vehicles, while its activated ability creates Pilot tokens for additional crew. This makes it a solid choice for red-white decks in Aetherdrift drafts.

The rare card, Count on Luck, is a more impactful addition. This 3-mana enchantment, with its straightforward all-red-pip cost, exiles the top card of your library at the start of each of your turns, allowing you to play it immediately. This "impulse draw" mechanic consistently provides extra cards for mono-red decks, offering a powerful advantage if you can utilize the cards effectively.

PlayFinally, we showcase Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While the extended art simply expands the artwork beyond the card frame, the First-Place Foils are a new addition to Aetherdrift. These golden cards are available in randomized buy-a-box promo packs included with each Aetherdrift box. All rares in the set, plus 10 full-art lands, receive this premium treatment.

Aetherdrift launches in paper and online formats on February 14th, with prereleases beginning February 7th. Learn more about the set's mechanics here.
