LEGO Announces a Jurassic Park T-Rex Skeleton Set That’s Over 3 Feet Long

Author : Hunter Mar 26,2025

LEGO enthusiasts and Jurassic Park fans, get ready for the thrill of building one of the most iconic scenes from the movie. LEGO has just unveiled its largest Jurassic World set to date: a breathtaking T-rex skeleton that stretches over three feet long. This impressive set not only captures the essence of the original Jurassic Park film, where the skeleton is prominently displayed in the visitor center, but also comes with minifigures of beloved characters Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant.

Priced at $249.99, this set will be available for purchase at the LEGO Store starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders (sign up for free here) and March 15 for everyone else.

LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex

**Release Date**: March 15 (March 12 for Insiders)
**Price**: $249.99
**Pieces**: 3,145
**Ages**: 18+
**Dimensions**: L: 105cm (41.3in) / H: 33cm (12.9in)

Designed for adult builders aged 18+, this set is perfect for display rather than play. With 3,145 pieces, it might include some advanced building techniques, making it a challenging yet rewarding project. Photos may not fully convey the scale of this set, but with Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler's minifigures for reference, you can appreciate its impressive size. The skeleton's skull is strikingly similar to the LEGO T-rex skull currently available, which adds to the overall impact of this new set.

The T-rex skeleton features articulated joints, allowing you to pose the dinosaur in various dynamic positions. The head can move, the jaw opens, and both the arms and tail can be adjusted. True to LEGO's tradition, this set includes hidden Easter eggs related to the movie, adding an extra layer of fun as you build. Additionally, it comes with a display stand and an informative plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and more.
