People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. This work-for-hire agreement, detailed in a recent People Can Fly report, offers no further specifics about Project Delta's nature.
This latest project joins a busy development pipeline for People Can Fly, which currently includes several similarly codenamed titles. These include Project Gemini with Square Enix (which experienced layoffs last year), Project Echo with Krafton, Project Red (also seemingly with Sony), and the recently announced Project Bison, their final VR project.
The studio recently paused development on Project Victoria and scaled back another project, Project Bifrost. In April, they cancelled Project Dagger, an action-adventure title planned in collaboration with Take-Two Interactive.
Despite these changes, People Can Fly still has eight known active projects, including the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day developed with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day remains unannounced, Project Gemini, the Square Enix collaboration, was previously slated for a 2026 release.
