Fortnite Adds a Highly Requested Feature

Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 update introduces a highly anticipated feature: using Fortnite Festival instruments as pickaxes and back blings! This addition, readily accessible via a new "instruments" option in the locker, has been met with enthusiastic player response.

Beyond the musical weaponry, the update also boasts new cosmetics from the Godzilla collaboration, including outfits and accessories. This builds on December 2024's additions of game modes like Ballistic, LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life, and Fortnite OG.

Fortnite Festival itself continues to expand. Seen by many as a successor to Guitar Hero, it features licensed music, instrument cosmetics, and recently added local co-op. Major artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga have also contributed to the mode's ongoing success.

The ability to equip instruments as both pickaxes and back blings simultaneously is a clever implementation. The instrument seamlessly transitions between roles, disappearing when used as a pickaxe and reappearing upon item switching. This update also includes a significant Hatsune Miku crossover, adding new outfits and instruments.

The streamlined access via the locker's "instruments" filter makes utilizing these new cosmetic options incredibly easy. Existing instruments previously limited to back bling or pickaxe roles have also been updated for use within Fortnite Festival, enhancing their versatility. This long-requested feature has proven incredibly popular with the Fortnite community.

Finally, the Godzilla collaboration provides players with pink and blue edit styles for the Godzilla outfit, along with unlockable accessories like a wrap, harvester, and glider, through battle pass challenges. The wealth of new content in this update is generating significant excitement among Fortnite players.
