Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Confirmation Emails Sent, Scammers Emerge
FromSoftware has begun distributing confirmation emails for the highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test, announced via their Twitter (X) account on January 30, 2025. Excited fans are sharing their confirmation emails online.
Those selected will receive a second email on February 11, 2025, containing a unique code to download the test client for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The registration period ran from January 10th to 20th, 2025, with no word on additional test opportunities for those who missed out.
The Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test itself, described by FromSoftware as a preliminary verification and large-scale network load test, will run from February 14th to 16th, 2025. Five 3-hour sessions are planned:
- Session 1: February 14th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
- Session 2: February 14th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
- Session 3: February 15th, 11 AM - 2 PM PT
- Session 4: February 16th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
- Session 5: February 16th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
Beware of Scammers and Scalpers:
A concerning development is the emergence of scams and scalping activities. Reports indicate fraudulent invitations circulating on Steam, redirecting users to malicious sites that compromise accounts and spam contact lists. FromSoftware emphasizes that legitimate invitations originate only from their official website and social media channels.
Despite codes not being released until February 11th, scalpers are already aggressively listing "confirmed" test codes for exorbitant prices, ranging from $150 to $200, with some even auctioned off.
Elden Ring Nightreign, initially revealed at the Game Awards 2024, is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A precise release date remains unannounced.
