Like A Dragon Kicks Off 20th Anniversary Merchandise Special Voting Project

As Like A Dragon gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary in December 2025, Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio has kicked off the festivities with a bang. They've launched a fan-voting project that gives you the power to choose which in-game items will be transformed into real-life merchandise. From lingerie to incense, mahjong tiles to a karaoke microphone, and even a luxury lighter and 20th-anniversary sake, you've got over 100 items to choose from, including iconic pieces like Kiryu’s dragon mask. The RGG voting website promises that the top-voted item will definitely be commercialized within the next two years.

The voting window opened on February 8, 2025, and will close on March 21, 2025. You can cast your vote once a day, so make it count! After the voting period, RGG will roll out a questionnaire to fine-tune the design of the winning item.

Like A Dragon 20th Anniversary May Possibly See More Yakuza Remakes

RGG Studio first teased its plans for the 20th anniversary in a tweet on December 8, 2024, during its 19th anniversary celebration. Masayoshi Yokoyama, RGG Studios Director and Executive Producer, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the fans for their unwavering support.

Kicking off the 20th anniversary celebrations, RGG is set to release Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 20, 2025. Yokoyama hinted at a series of events and announcements leading up to the big milestone, alongside the ongoing merchandise voting project.

Although no new announcements have been made since that video, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The 10th anniversary saw RGG announce remakes, leading to the release of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami. This precedent has fans hoping for something equally exciting for the 20th anniversary.

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii PC Requirements

Recommended Specs Not A Problem For Most Gaming Units

On February 10, 2025, RGG Studio shared the PC requirements for Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on Twitter. The recommended graphics card is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or an equivalent or newer model, which should be well within reach for most gaming setups.

Given that the game is also coming to last-gen consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the PC specs are quite accessible. RGG Studios has also confirmed that the game is Steam Deck verified, ensuring a smooth experience on the go.

SEGA recently dropped a story trailer on YouTube, showcasing Majima's adventure on the High Seas, narrated by the Pirate King Raymond Law, voiced by wrestling legend Samoa Joe.
