Days Gone Remasered Revealed with April 2025 Release Date

Author : Alexander Mar 18,2025

Days Gone Remastered is roaring onto PlayStation 5, bringing Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure to a new generation with exciting new features. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, this enhanced re-release boasts VRR and PS5 Pro support, but the real highlights are its additions: a thrilling permadeath mode, a challenging speedrun mode, an improved photo mode, and expanded accessibility options. Prepare for intense action in Horde Assault, a new arcade mode where Deacon St. John faces even larger hordes of Freakers than before.

Days Gone Remastered launches April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for just $10. Check out the launch trailer below:

This release marks another step in Sony's initiative to bring popular PS4 titles to PS5 with enhanced experiences. Joining other upgraded games like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Days Gone Remastered offers a compelling reason for PS5 owners to revisit Deacon's journey, or experience it for the first time.

PC players aren't left out. While the game is already available on PC, they can access the new modes via the $10 Broken Roads DLC, which also unlocks the enhanced accessibility features, DualSense support, and improved photo mode.

A recent PlayStation.Blog post delved deeper into the improvements. Bend Studio built this version from the ground up for PS5, resulting in stunning visuals selectable in Performance or Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience even more breathtaking visuals and immersive audio, complemented by DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

New players can purchase Days Gone Remastered on PS5 for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as a bonus. For a complete overview of today's State of Play announcements, check out our roundup here.
