Cyberpunk 2077 receives a significant update (2.21) from CD Projekt RED, incorporating DLSS 4 and various bug fixes.
GeForce RTX 50 series users gain access to DLSS 4 technology on January 30th, boosting frame rates and improving efficiency. DLSS 4 enhances frame generation on RTX 40 and 50 series cards while reducing memory consumption.
All GeForce RTX cards now offer a choice between the convolutional neural network and the new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and DLAA. The transform model delivers superior lighting, detail, and image stability.
Update 2.21 also addresses several issues:
- Resolved: Inability to interact with certain vendors.
- Resolved: Missing or low volume for TV news audio.
- Resolved: Infrequent appearance of Johnny Silverhand in the passenger seat.
- Resolved: Disappearing items when hiding nearby NPCs.
- Resolved: Game freezes when simultaneously entering Photo Mode and accessing a closet or stash.
- Enhanced: Photo Mode now allows placement of Nibbles and Adam Smasher even when V is in the air or water.
- Improved: Adam Smasher's facial expression adjustments. The "Frame Creation" parameter now functions correctly after disabling resolution scaling. Previously reported interference and crashes related to DLSS ray reconstruction have been rectified.
