Bolton's Unexpected Clash Royale Partnership

Author : Jonathan Mar 12,2025

Clash Royale has teamed up with Michael Bolton—yes, that Michael Bolton—resulting in the Barbarian's surprising transformation into the "Boltarian." Following collaborations with Erling Haaland in Clash of Clans and Gordon Ramsay in Hay Day, Supercell continues its trend of unexpected celebrity partnerships. This time, it's a music video featuring Bolton's hit song, "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," reimagined with the Barbarian sporting a new mullet and handlebar mustache as the Boltarian.

This collaboration includes a new music video specifically targeted at lapsed Clash Royale players. The song will also be available on major music streaming platforms. While there's currently no announced rewards campaign to incentivize player returns, Supercell is seemingly relying on the Boltarian's musical charm to draw players back.

While the collaboration is undeniably humorous and unexpected, the effectiveness of a parody music video in attracting lapsed players remains questionable. Hopefully, Supercell will launch additional in-game promotions or a return campaign to further entice players.
