Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event is on the horizon, featuring the much-anticipated debut of Applin. This event is a golden opportunity for collectors and shiny hunters alike. Dive into the details below to ensure you don't miss out on this exciting addition to your Pokémon collection.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is when Applin, the adorable Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region, makes its grand entrance into Pokémon GO.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, the same number of candies and 20 Sweet Apples are required. Applin's final evolution path leads to Dipplin, and ultimately, Hydrapple.

A key part of evolving Applin is collecting Apples, which can be found in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. For better chances of encountering Apples, consider using Mossy Lure Modules.

Did You Know?

Applin is a unique Pokémon that spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly hiding from its natural predators, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as ordinary fruit. This little trick makes Applin one of the cutest additions to the Pokémon GO lineup.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can snag some new avatar items from the in-game shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Plus, take advantage of the event bonuses, which include 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.

Keep an eye out for increased chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, there's a higher likelihood of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.

A sweet addition to the event is the berry drops from catching Delibird or Skwovet. Make sure you have Pokémon GO downloaded from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
