Schedule I Update 0.3.4: Adds Pawn Shop, 'Fancy Stuff'

Author : Benjamin Apr 13,2025

Developer Tyler has rolled out the eagerly awaited 0.3.4 update for Schedule I, following a short testing phase. The update, detailed in the Steam patch notes, marks the first significant content expansion since the game's explosive launch into early access on Steam on March 24. This viral hit, a drug dealer simulator, now boasts new features including a functional pawn shop, a boutique store, various wall decorations, and more.

In a Steam post, Tyler expressed regret over the delay in releasing the update, stating, "I'm still ironing out the update/testing process." He reassured the community that future updates would run smoother and on schedule, with larger monthly updates starting next month. Looking ahead, Tyler is prioritizing the resolution of remaining bugs, focusing on:

  • Ensuring consistent employee performance.
  • Preventing save game corruption and loss, with insights from Valve to enhance the save file format and its compatibility with Steam Cloud saves.
  • Reducing disconnections and loading issues in multiplayer.

Additionally, Tyler aims to optimize the game and achieve Steam Deck verification as soon as possible, using this as a benchmark for performance.

Schedule I soared to the top of Steam's sales charts upon its launch, outpacing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, fueled by viral buzz on social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players evolve from small-time drug dealers to kingpins, managing the production and distribution of various substances in the gritty city of Hyland Point. Expansion opportunities include acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by TVGS, the Australian indie developer Tyler, who goes by the moniker, expressed astonishment at Schedule I's explosive debut, describing it as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." In a reddit post, Tyler shared, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
