
Persona 5: The Phantom X is set to reach a worldwide audience, with Android pre-registration now active. Following its announced June 26th, 2025 Japanese release, SEGA and Atlus have confirmed the same date for the global launch.
Expanding Beyond Asian Markets
After successful releases in China, Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong across mobile and PC platforms, the game prepares for its worldwide debut. Developed by Black Wing Game Studio with guidance from former Persona 5 team members, Phantom X adopts a free-to-play model featuring gacha mechanics for character acquisition.

The international release maintains Japanese voice acting while offering optional English or Japanese text. Players can now pre-register through the Google Play Store and view the official announcement trailer.
Phantom X introduces a new protagonist leading fresh Phantom Thieves through redesigned Tokyo locations with original palaces and mementos. The game preserves the franchise's hallmark elements including:
- Social simulation mechanics
- Dungeon exploration
- Turn-based combat system
- Dual-life gameplay cycle
New features include a guild system, Velvet Trials PvE mode, and cameos from Persona 5 characters. The narrative begins with the protagonist awakening from disturbing dreams into an altered reality, guided by a mysterious owl named Lefaye and encountering the iconic Velvet Room residents.
