Netflix’s Rise of the Golden Idol Is Dropping Its First DLC The Sins of New Wells

Netflix's highly anticipated game, *Rise of the Golden Idol*, is set to release its first DLC, *The Sins of New Wells*, on mobile devices. Scheduled for release on March 4th, this expansion will also be available on PC and consoles. Excitingly, for mobile users, it will be completely free as part of Netflix Gaming.

What’s in Store?

*The Sins of New Wells* promises an immersive experience filled with mystery, crime, and the enigmatic touch of Lemurian magic. The game takes you to New Wells, a city plagued with unparalleled problems. You play as homicide detective Roy Samson, who is transferred to the notorious 9th District, a place where justice seems like a distant dream.

In this corrupt environment, crime is the norm, and Roy, alongside his new partner Cliff Savea, begins to investigate a series of brutal crimes. Their investigation quickly escalates as they uncover a deeper, more sinister plot.

This DLC introduces four thrilling new cases: *Following Orders*, *Trouble Unleashed*, *The Raid*, and *Unraveling*. Each case is a complex web of crime, deception, and mystery, challenging players to untangle the lies, uncover hidden motives (everyone has something to hide), and piece together the truth.

To crack the cases, you'll need to interrogate often dishonest witnesses and solve intricate puzzles. Be prepared for the madness that grips New Wells as you delve deeper into the narrative.

Are You a Netflix Subscriber?

If you're a Netflix subscriber, mark your calendar for March 4th. *The Sins of New Wells* will be available for mobile players at 9 AM PT or 5 PM GMT on launch day. Color Gray Games has revealed that this is just the beginning, with at least four more DLCs planned for 2025.

*Rise of the Golden Idol* has already established itself as a standout modern detective game. With a Netflix subscription, you can download and play the game for free on the Google Play Store.
