Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Extended Due to PSN Issues

Author : Connor Feb 25,2025

Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test following a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage. The outage, occurring on Friday, February 7th, at 3 PM PT, impacted online gameplay for PlayStation users for a full day. Sony attributed the disruption to an "operational issue" and compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

This outage significantly affected the highly anticipated second beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled from February 6th to 9th. To compensate for the lost playtime, Capcom has announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session.

The revised beta dates are:

February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT

Capcom confirmed that players participating during this extended period will still receive the in-game participation bonuses offered in the full release.

Despite the network issues, beta participants had the opportunity to engage with Arkveld, a formidable new monster introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
