MGS4 PS5 & Xbox Port Teased by Konami, Potentially Marking First Time It's Playable Outside of PS3Konami fuels speculation about a potential Metal Gear Solid 4 remake and next-gen console release, possibly as part of the anticipated Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.

MGS Master Collection Vol. 2: MGS4's Next-Gen Debut?

MGS4 PS5 & Xbox Port Teased by Konami, Potentially Marking First Time It's Playable Outside of PS3In a recent IGN interview, Konami producer Noriaki Okamura subtly acknowledged the fervent fan desire for a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (MGS4) remake and its arrival on modern platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC). While remaining officially silent on concrete plans, Okamura's comments, coupled with the release of Master Collection Vol. 1, strongly suggest a sequel is in the works. He stated, "We are aware of the interest in MGS4. With Vol. 1 covering MGS 1-3, you might be able to infer some things! We're focusing on the future of the series internally. More details to come!"

MGS4 PS5 & Xbox Port Teased by Konami, Potentially Marking First Time It's Playable Outside of PS3The PS3 exclusive status of MGS4 has fueled persistent rumors of its inclusion in Master Collection Vol. 2. The prior success of Master Collection Vol. 1, which brought remastered versions of the first three games to various platforms, further strengthens this speculation.

Last year, placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appeared on Konami's official timeline, adding fuel to the fire. IGN reported these titles as likely candidates for Master Collection Vol. 2, though confirmation remains elusive.

Adding to the intrigue, David Hayter, the English voice actor for Solid Snake, hinted at his involvement in an MGS4-related project on social media last November.

Despite the mounting evidence, Konami remains tight-lipped about the contents of Master Collection Vol. 2 and any official MGS4 remake plans. The wait continues.
