Week 2 of the Blast from the Past event in The Sims 4 is in full swing, challenging players to explore the game's world and solve a captivating mystery. Amidst the excitement, a seemingly simple task—studying a Historical Display—has proven to be a stumbling block for many. Here's a detailed guide on how to tackle this quest in The Sims 4.

One of the key quests in Week 2 of the Blast from the Past event requires you to study a Historical Display at a museum. Veteran players likely know the locations well, but for newcomers, finding these spots might be a bit tricky. Open your map and look for buildings marked with an icon featuring pillars. Four default museums are available, but for convenience, focus on Municipal Muses in Willow Creek and The Future's Past in Oasis Springs, as they are strategically located near other event tasks.

How To Study a Historical Display in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

Upon locating and traveling to a museum, head inside and start exploring. Both paintings and sculptures qualify as Historical Displays in The Sims 4. Choose one that catches your eye and interact with it. A prompt will appear allowing you to "View" the Historical Display. Confirm this action, and you'll see an Emit icon, indicating that you've successfully completed the challenge.

However, many players are encountering issues with this seemingly straightforward task. Mods appear to be the culprit, causing the "View" button to malfunction and preventing players from studying the displays. Some have tried removing all mods to progress, but this doesn't always solve the issue. It's hoped that EA is working on a fix. In the meantime, the best strategy is to attempt studying multiple items across different museums.
