How to Use Sprays & Emotes in Marvel Rivals

Author : Henry Apr 25,2025

In *Marvel Rivals*, the thrill of embodying your favorite heroes and villains is heightened with the ability to add a personal flair through sprays and emotes. Here's your guide to making a statement on the battlefield.

Using Sprays and Emotes in Marvel Rivals

To unleash your chosen spray or emote during a match, simply hold down the T key to access the cosmetics wheel. From there, you can select the spray or emote that best expresses your current mood or strategy. If T isn't your preferred key, feel free to customize this in the settings menu to suit your playstyle.

Marvel Rivals Gameplay

Remember, though, sprays and emotes need to be equipped on a per-character basis. To do this, head over to the hero gallery from the main menu, select your character, navigate to the Cosmetics tab, and then choose from Costumes, MVP, Emotes, or Sprays to equip your favorites for that hero.

How to Unlock More Sprays in Marvel Rivals

While many of the game's cosmetics are available for purchase with real money via the Luxury track of the Battle Pass, there are still ways to earn them for free. As you engage in daily and event missions, you'll accumulate Chrono Tokens. These can be spent on the Battle Pass to unlock various cosmetic items. Additionally, by increasing your proficiency with individual characters, you can unlock even more unique cosmetics.

That's the rundown on how to use and unlock sprays and emotes in *Marvel Rivals*. For more insights and tips, including details on the rank reset in Competitive mode and the meaning of SVP, be sure to check out The Escapist.
