Pokémon Go Wayfarer Challenge Expands Gyms in Chile, India

• The event takes place in Chile from March 7th to 9th and in India from March 10th to 12th.

Niantic has just introduced the Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India the opportunity to enhance their gaming environment and receive exclusive rewards. By evaluating and approving Wayspot submissions on the Niantic Wayfarer platform, you can help bring new PokéStops and Gyms to Pokémon Go while progressing toward unique milestone rewards.

The Pokémon Go Wayfarer Challenge is scheduled in Chile from March 7th to 9th and in India from March 10th to 12th. During the event, you can submit real-world locations like landmarks, sculptures, and street art to become PokéStops and Gyms.

Evaluating these submissions helps achieve community goals. If 5,000 nominations are processed, all participants will receive 20 Ultra Balls, one Star Piece, one Incense, and one Poffin. If the community reaches 10,000 approvals, the rewards increase to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and one Lucky Egg.

To participate, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users on the platform must complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can begin reviewing submissions. 

You also need to have recently played in Chile or India, or have set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To be eligible for rewards, you must review at least 50 nominations, and at least one community milestone must be achieved.

Additionally, the PokéStop Challenge will be held from March 9th to 12th exclusively in Chile and India. When you visit newly added PokéStops, you'll earn triple XP for your first spin, triple Stardust from opening Gifts, and encounter more Kecleon. Event Field Research will provide encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research offers chances to catch other Pokémon.
