Ubisoft unveiled the newest Rainbow Six Siege attacker, Rauora from New Zealand, during the Six Invitational's final day. A key feature is her DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield (destructible by explosives) designed for doorways. The shield's trigger mechanism offers a strategic advantage: attackers open it in one second, while defenders require three. This time difference could prove vital, especially when the defuser is planted.

Rauora also brings the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol with a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine, to the game. She can also equip the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers within the next week, with a later release date for the main game.
