Pokémon Go is getting ready for Christmas with the Holiday Part 1 event later this month

Author : Zachary Dec 30,2024

Get ready for the Pokémon Go Holiday festivities! Niantic's Holiday Part One event is arriving soon, bringing a flurry of seasonal fun from December 17th to 22nd. This event is packed with bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and challenges with rewarding prizes.

Double XP for catching Pokémon and halved Egg hatching distances are just the beginning! A new costumed Dedenne, sporting its holiday best, will debut, with a chance to snag a shiny variant. Shiny Sandygast also makes its first appearance.

Explore the wild to find Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids offer festive encounters too: one-star raids feature a Winter Carnival Pikachu and a holiday-themed Psyduck. Three-star raids challenge you with an Undersea Holiday Glaceon and Cryogonal, while Mega Latias and Mega Latios headline the Mega Raids.

ytSeven-kilometer Eggs hold the potential to hatch Hisuian Growlithe or a holiday ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks or the optional $2.00 Timed Research for chances at themed Pokémon, Premium Battle Passes, and more.

Collection Challenges return, rewarding Stardust, Poké Balls, and Great Balls for your catching and raiding prowess. Show off your event Pokémon in PokéStop Showcases. Don't forget to redeem those Pokémon Go codes for extra goodies!

The Pokémon Go Web Store features two limited-time offers: the Ultra Holiday Box ($4.99) with Pokémon Storage and Item Bag upgrades, plus 17 Rare Candies; and the Holiday Part 1 Ultra Ticket Box ($6.99), including Holiday event access and a bonus Premium Battle Pass. These are perfect for stocking up on in-game resources.
