Marvel Contest of Champions' Murderworld event has arrived, bringing a host of exciting new content! Running until August 7th, this update includes the X-Magica Showcase, the Spring of Sorrow Gauntlet, plus essential bug fixes and balance adjustments.
Murderworld: A Deadly Amusement Park
Arcade, the master of deadly entertainment, has unleashed his twisted theme parks within The Contest. These Murderworlds offer equal parts thrilling amusement and brutal annihilation. Arcade's goal? To achieve the highest body count. Players must outsmart Arcade's deadly games, perhaps even uniting to overthrow his lethal carnival.
New Champions Take Center Stage
The Raft, the Battlerealm's maximum-security prison, is on lockdown due to a gamma radiation incident. The Summoner intervenes, encountering Patriot, who's in dire straits. Meanwhile, The Leader's gamma-enhanced intellect is controlling both friends and foes.
The highly anticipated additions are Patriot, arriving July 18th, and The Leader, debuting August 1st. Let's delve into these new champions. Patriot, also known as Eli Bradley, carries on the legacy of his grandfather, one of the original Super Soldiers. He's a co-founder of the Young Avengers.
In contrast, The Leader (Samuel Sterns) started as a high school dropout working a chemical plant night shift. A gamma explosion transformed him into a super-genius. Instead of using his intellect for good, he embraced villainy, becoming The Leader – the Hulk's arch-nemesis.
