"Lost Soul Aside Delay: 3 Months for Enhanced Polish on PS5 and PC"

Author : Joseph May 22,2025

The highly anticipated single-player action game, Lost Soul Aside, initially set to launch on May 30, 2025, has been delayed by three months, according to developer Ultizero Games. The new release date for both PC and PlayStation 5 is now August 29, 2025. After nearly a decade of development, the game was on the cusp of release, but Ultizero Games has decided to push back the launch to ensure a polished final product.

"We are truly grateful for the positive response we've received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside," stated Ultizero Games. "We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

PlayOriginally the passion project of solo developer Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside has evolved significantly. It is now a major title under Sony's China Hero Project, with Bing as the founder and CEO of Shanghai-based studio Ultizero Games.

IGN recently had the privilege of interviewing Yang Bing to discuss the extensive journey to launch. The game, which started as a solo creator's vision, gained massive attention following a trailer reveal at Sony's State of Play broadcast. The excitement around Lost Soul Aside has been palpable, with many fans likening it to a blend of Final Fantasy characters and Devil May Cry combat, especially since Yang Bing's initial reveal video went viral in 2016.

The protagonist, Kesar, utilizes a versatile shape-shifting weapon that allows for dynamic playstyle changes. Accompanying Kesar is a dragon-like companion named Arena, who can summon abilities to aid in combat. Drawing inspiration from its predecessors, Lost Soul Aside emphasizes aerial dodging, precise timing, complex combos, and countering, alongside epic boss battles. The game integrates a sci-fi narrative with contemporary aesthetics, taking players across multiple dimensions. While the trailers provide limited insight into the storyline, Bing characterizes Kesar's journey as one of "redemption and discovery."
