Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced an End of Service (EOS) date of December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months of gameplay remaining before the servers are permanently deactivated.
A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse initially generated significant excitement among Disney fans. However, a lengthy beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. The game's demanding shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, further hampered its long-term success. Despite these shortcomings, the game's character designs and graphics were widely praised.
The abrupt EOS announcement, following a recent content update including a new storyline and Cinderella as a playable character, surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
The unexpected closure leaves many questioning the future of similar mobile titles. What are your thoughts on the Disney Mirrorverse EOS? Share your comments below. And for more gaming news, check out our coverage of Zombies In Conflict Of Nations: World War 3 Season 15!
