Destiny Child Returns with Idle RPG Revival

Destiny Child is returning! Initially launched in 2016, the game transitioned to a "memorial" state in September 2023. Now, Com2uS has partnered with ShiftUp to relaunch the title.

Will it be the same game?

Com2uS and ShiftUp have collaborated on a new Destiny Child game, an idle RPG. Development will be spearheaded by Com2uS's subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, known for titles like the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics. This reboot will reimagine Destiny Child with fresh mechanics while retaining the original game's emotional core and distinctive 2D art style.

Have you experienced the memorial version?

Destiny Child's initial release garnered significant attention for its charming characters and real-time combat. Following a nearly seven-year run, the game officially closed, but ShiftUp released a memorial app. This allows players to revisit the game's art and characters, offering a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Access to the memorial version is restricted to players with pre-existing accounts, requiring verification using previous game data. While not the full game, it preserves the beloved character designs and classes, albeit without active gameplay. Download it from the Google Play Store and enjoy the artwork until the new game launches.

This concludes our update on Destiny Child's revival. For more gaming news, check out our article on Hearthstone's "The Great Dark Beyond" and the return of the Burning Legion.
