To unlock the Artian weapon crafting feature, you must first complete the main story and reach High Rank. After that, you'll need to defeat your first Tempered monster. You'll recognize this monster by the NPCs' comments about its toughness and numerous scars.

Once you've vanquished this formidable foe, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial that explains the crafting process. Each weapon type requires three components, and you need at least one of each to craft a weapon. However, the customization goes much deeper.

Each component has a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, components must share the same rarity value. The elemental effect of your weapon is determined by the most prevalent element among your components. For example, using two water and one lightning component will result in a water weapon.
