It may feel like we've been transported back to the Stone Age during the Primitive weekly challenge in Phasmophobia, but unlike cavemen, we're dealing with ghostly apparitions rather than saber-toothed tigers. To succeed, we must navigate the investigation without our trusty electronics. Is it possible to overcome this daunting task? Let's find out.

The Primitive Challenge stands out as one of the toughest weekly challenges in Phasmophobia. It requires you to identify the ghost and complete the investigation at 10 Ridgeview Court without the aid of any electronics. This means relying heavily on your intuition and understanding of ghost behavior. To fully complete this challenge, you must successfully conduct three qualifying investigations.

Tips & Tricks To Complete Primitive Challenge in Phasmophobia

Navigating the Primitive Challenge involves understanding the unique set of rules and circumstances you'll face. Without electronics, you're stripped of basic tools like Flashlights and evidence-gathering devices such as DOTs Projectors and Video Cameras.

Sanity Medication is also off the table, but you start with a full Sanity meter to temporarily ward off ghost activity. Your provided equipment includes two Tier 1 Crucifixes to prevent ghost hunts, Tier 2 Firelights, and a full set of Tier 1 Incense for added protection.

For gathering evidence, you're limited to two Tier 3 Ghost Writing books and two Tier 1 UV lights that serve both as flashlights and tools for detecting ultraviolet evidence. Additionally, two Tier 1 thermometers are provided for checking freezing temperatures.

To succeed, you'll need to hone your paranormal intuition and recognize the unique behavioral traits of each ghost. Our no-evidence cheat sheet can be a valuable resource here.

To locate the ghost quickly, take advantage of its increased activity in this challenge. Alternatively, you can use the Ouija Board found in the laundry room on the first floor, left of the dining area. Ask the ghost for its "favorite room," but be prepared to lose 50% of your sanity. Remember to say "Goodbye" to the board to avoid triggering a Cursed Hunt. This method is especially useful in group settings for safety.

To participate in the Primitive Challenge, choose either Singleplayer or Multiplayer, then navigate to the Difficulty Settings above your profile ID. Select 'Challenge Mode,' apply it, and return to the main menu. Choose 10 Ridgeview Court from the map board selection screen, as the challenge doesn't auto-select the location. The loadout is pre-set and cannot be changed. Once ready, select 'Ready Up' and 'Start' to begin.
