Leslie Benzies, the acclaimed former lead game designer behind Rockstar hits like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, is gearing up to unveil his latest project, MindsEye. This highly anticipated game was recently showcased in a new trailer during the PlayStation State of Play, offering fans a fresh look at what's to come.

The MindsEye trailer reveals a gripping high-tech spy thriller that bears some striking resemblances to the Grand Theft Auto series. Expect third-person gunplay, stunning cinematics, and dynamic drive-and-shoot action. You can dive into the cinematic experience by watching the trailer below.

PlayAccording to the official press release, MindsEye centers on protagonist Jacob Diaz, who is equipped with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This implant, however, has disrupted his memory, leaving him with fragmented flashbacks of his military past. Driven by a quest to uncover the truth about his history, Jacob embarks on a mission that pits him against an AI-powered military force determined to thwart his efforts.

MindsEye has been in the works for several years since Benzies left Rockstar Games to establish his new studio, Build a Rocket Boy. In collaboration with Hitman developer IO Interactive, MindsEye is poised to be a AAA action-adventure game. Alongside the game, Benzies is set to launch the Everywhere platform, which we've previously described as a "Big budget Roblox" following a visit to their studio in 2024.

While the new trailer did not delve into details about Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises to be an exhilarating new entry in the action genre, crafted by one of its most renowned figures. Fans can look forward to the release of MindsEye in the summer of 2025.
