"Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Delayed to October 2025"

Author : Michael Apr 11,2025

The much-anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has faced yet another delay, pushing its release to October 2025. This latest postponement, revealed subtly in a recent game update video by publisher Paradox Interactive and developer The Chinese Room, marks a slight shift from the earlier target of the first half of 2025. However, fans can take solace in the fact that, according to Executive Producer Marco Behrmann, the game is now complete. The team is currently dedicated to refining the experience through bug fixes, stability improvements, and performance enhancements.

While the news of another delay might dampen spirits among the game's dedicated fanbase, the accompanying video offers some encouraging updates. The Chinese Room has been hard at work enhancing the game with additional content, deeper narrative elements, and richer character development. Notably, the character Fabien is set to have an "evolved role" in the storyline at launch. Despite the positive developments, communication with fans will become less frequent, as announced on the official Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 X/Twitter page.

The journey of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been fraught with challenges since its announcement in 2019 by developer Hardsuit Labs, with an initial release window set for Q1 2020. The game experienced numerous delays, shifting first to late 2020, then to 2021, accompanied by layoffs at Hardsuit in March 2021. A significant turning point came in 2023 when The Chinese Room took over from Hardsuit, aiming for a 2024 release. Despite this latest delay, the new release date in October 2025 offers a concrete timeline for fans eagerly awaiting the sequel to the 2004 cult-classic video game.

As we approach the new release window, the confidence expressed by The Chinese Room's team is reassuring. Looking ahead, Paradox Interactive has hinted that, should Bloodlines 2 achieve a successful launch, a different developer might take the helm for the development of Bloodlines 3.
